My son the gardener
Like most 4-year-olds, my son is fascinated by plants, bugs, and dirt. So I love taking him to the park on the weekend to let him explore. Even better, I got him his own tiny Botanian Greenhouse to grow produce at home. It comes complete with special pellets that are so clean and simple to use, he could really get involved. He’s already learned how to grow carrots and scallions – planting the seeds, watering them, and waiting for the first leaves to emerge.
Being patient at that age isn’t easy, is it? I had to reassure him many times that it would be worth it as he stared through the clear dome keeping the tiny plants safe and warm inside the greenhouse. When the plants were readyI helped him to move them to our garden. At harvesting time, it was absolutely priceless to watch his face when the green leaves above the ground turned out to be attached to tasty veggies. I feel especially touched as my grandpa taught me to garden when I was young, and now these skills are being passed on to a new generation.
