Hi everyone! 🌱

Starting a plant journey can feel a bit intimidating, but it’s also one of the most rewarding experiences! 🌱 Whether you have a green thumb or not, growing plants is a wonderful way to connect with nature. In this blog, I’ll take you through my new adventure with Botanian's mini greenhouse, where we’re growing everything from herbs to colorful flowers. If you're curious about how simple seeds can turn into thriving plants, you’re in the right place!

My name is Lisa, I’m 24 years old, and I’m all the way from the Netherlands. Last year, I graduated with a degree in Creative Business, and I’m now working in an amazing role as a marketing manager at a full-service advertising agency.

I live with my mom in a cozy apartment just outside of Rotterdam. We also share our home with our Dalmatian (although he has surprisingly few spots 😉). Outside of work, I’m passionate about cooking, working out (especially Pilates!), grabbing coffee with friends, and, of course, taking care of my plants! 🌿

Mini Greenhouse 🌼
Through my job, I’ve been lucky enough to start a wonderful collaboration with Botanian. Recently, we received a beautiful mini greenhouse from them, and I couldn’t wait to get started. Each month, I’ll be sharing updates with you on how our plants are growing and thriving, so you can follow along with our green journey.

You can also follow me on Instagram @lisaa.mr to keep up with all the behind-the-scenes of my (green) adventures!

Last Thursday, my colleagues and I picked out some seeds to plant in the greenhouse. Here’s what we chose:

    • Chamomile (perfect for relaxing tea!)
    • Basil (a must-have for the kitchen)
    • Cress (great for sandwiches)
    • Ice flowers (to add a pop of color and creativity!)

The First Signs of Life 🌱

When I came into the office on Monday, I was completely amazed—after just four days, the first little plants had already sprouted! Watching them grow so quickly feels so rewarding. The cress, in particular, seems to be a super speedy grower. I’m already imagining how we can use it to elevate our lunches or as a fresh topping for a dish.

I’m excited to keep you updated over the coming weeks on how our plants are progressing and how we’ll use them in our day-to-day lives. Stay tuned for the next blog!

Green greetings,
Lisa 🌸
